Urology Practice Marketing
Marketing built for urology groups: more of the right patients, stronger reputations and a plan that fits your budget.
Independence Digital has worked with urology practices since 2015. Today we partner with five LUGPA-member urology groups across the United States. Our founder, Brian Dooley, led marketing and customer care at Urology San Antonio and spoke on the main stage at the 2021 LUGPA Annual Meeting on online reputation management.
We know how a urology practice runs, from the referral to the phone call to the exam room, so our recommendations account for what happens after the click.

Reputation management results: a 10-location urology group
Between March 2025 and mid-2026, a 10-location urology group with more than 20 providers raised its average Google rating from 3.1 to 4.4. Over the same period, its Google reviews grew from 501 to more than 2,300, and its average provider rating rose from 3.5 to 4.6.
We use the same review process with every client, whatever its size. Every practice starts in a different place, but our clients typically reach an average Google rating above 4.5.
Who we work with
We work with independent urology groups, from single-location practices to multi-state groups, and with urology-affiliated cancer centers. We usually partner with the practice’s CEO or administrator, and we’re comfortable presenting to a board or physician president.
Urology patients are not all the same
A woman managing overactive bladder, a man weighing prostate cancer treatment and a man scheduling a vasectomy search differently, worry about different things and respond to different messages. We plan campaigns around each patient type, including:
- BPH: UroLift, Rezum, Aquablation, HoLEP and other treatments
- Prostate cancer: diagnosis, PSMA PET-CT, radiation therapy and advanced cancer therapies
- Women’s urology: overactive bladder and incontinence
- Men’s health: vasectomy and erectile dysfunction
- Prostate artery embolization (PAE)
What we do
Reputation management
- Review programs that bring in a steady flow of new Google reviews for the practice and each provider
- Guidance on responding to negative reviews without disclosing patient information
- Removal requests for reviews that violate a platform’s terms of service (we manage the process; removal is up to the platform)
- Google Business Profile management for every location and provider: accurate hours, services and links, monitoring for unwanted changes and photos added by others
Patient acquisition campaigns
- Paid social campaigns that reach the patients your practice wants most, with targeting and messaging refined over years of urology ad testing
- Procedure campaigns for high-value services. For one vasectomy campaign, the appointment slots set aside for the campaign were fully booked.
- Launch campaigns for new technology, new services and new locations, such as PSMA PET-CT, HoLEP and new clinics
- New-physician advertising to help new urologists build their schedules
Websites, SEO and content
- New urology websites, or improvements to the site you already have
- Ongoing patient education content that helps patients find you, answers their questions and shows Google your site is active and authoritative
- Content structured to be cited in Google’s featured snippets and AI search results
Social media management
- Content creation for your practice’s social profiles
- Comment moderation, so questions get answered and problems get flagged
How we work
1. Your goals
More BPH procedures, a stronger reputation, a new location, a new physician: we start with what the practice needs.
2. A clear plan
You get the most cost-effective recommendation and an explanation of why, not a one-size-fits-all package.
3. We do the work
Our team handles it, from reviews and listings to content and ads.
4. Track results
We review results with you and shift budget toward what’s working.

Frequently asked questions
Do you only work with large urology groups?
No. Our clients range in size, and we use the same proven process with every practice. Many are multi-location groups with 20 or more providers.
Can you work with our existing website?
Yes. We can build a new site or improve and add content to the one you have.
Can you remove negative reviews?
Only when a review violates the platform’s terms of service. We identify those reviews and manage the removal request, but the platform makes the final decision. For everything else, the best answer is more reviews from satisfied patients, and a professional response.
How do you respond to reviews without violating HIPAA?
We help your team respond without confirming that the reviewer is a patient or mentioning any details of their care. We can provide response guidance and templates.
Do you market new technology like PSMA PET-CT or HoLEP?
Yes. We’ve run launch campaigns for new technology, new services and new locations, and we know how to explain advanced treatments in language patients understand.
Do you handle PAE marketing?
Yes, including landing pages, inquiry forms and targeted ads for men who may be candidates for prostate artery embolization.
